Enter Minnesota, with talented running back Adrian Peterson, and some old guy named Favre. Not a bad line, especially when facing the D-Line that the Vikings smack you in the face with.
Quinn is ready for his second consecutive start of the season; the Browns faced off against the Denver Broncos, who were a lucky play away from losing to the Bengals. This was a game that we could win; but, as the saying goes: "That's why they play the game. The perfect game to turn things around; the Ravens defense was not the same as it was last year, so maybe the Browns offense would have some luck moving the ball.
Quinn was pulled in favor of back up Derek Anderson. At First i thought that Quinn was just being a HATER but then i read some more and realized that what he said about the kids looking up to Johnny football. For better or for worse. Hey Brady, Johnny has attended functions for kids and given them encouragement. As long as he is not breaking any laws or company policies, its no big deal.
There isnt even any evidence to this point that his activities are affecting his job performance. Why take advice from a guy that blows and probably should be out of football. His opinion holds no weight. Im a Browns fan that wanted Teddy B, but the hate has got to stop.
All the people judging his every move come off as jealous and resentful of his celebrity. If he goes out and actually does something to hurt his teammates or this organization then let him have it. You dont see Brees, Manning etc out partying because they, like most of us, are married with kids.
Johnny is not. Let his nuts breathe a little bit. Like his thoughts about players needing to really listen and watch out for other players in distress, it hits home that Brady Quinn just gets it. He would have been interesting to listen to in interviews. Go back to insignificance Quinn. Let the kid learn from his own mistakes, the vets and media. Brady Quinn needs to mind his own garden. What does the owner think? Go away Brady, fade in to the mist and dissapear faster than your playing career.
Your takes are bogus. Charles Barkley probably never spoke truer words when he said he is not a roll model. I bet nothing. Teach your kid how to act and right from wrong. If the guy wins, nobody will care.
We shall see. Johnny Cleveland will lead the browns to the first NFL championship for the browns, keep hating and watch the magic. OK Quinn was not very good. I get it, but takes nothing away from his statement. Stop blaming the media and blame Johnny for his actions. There is always something. Sports media gets paid by having stuff to write or show. He gives them plenty. He will learn what humility feels like in front of a full stadium and millions on TV. Sitting in that draft, green room, taught him nothing.
He looked like a jealous school girl back then. Again, hit up deadspin and search for the story on his family — he makes a TON more sense in reading it. Everyone has an opinion about about Johns character flaws, and the overwhelming majority are negative opinions. He seems like a spoiled, self centered tool to me, but whatever. I feel guilty.
Does he leave room for his own shortcomings? Quinn and Brunell are some bitter QBs. They hate every quarterback in the leagues. Then again, most of the talking heads on TV are too positive or jive,so I guess you need some bad guys to balance it out. We talked for 50 minutes and he was respectful. He was put in a uniquely weird position that would have rattled most quarterbacks.
I thought he handled it well. There was a time in the NFL when players were far more openly critical of their own teammates, much less players on other teams.
Decline the interview then, some people are just too dumb. If you know you are vulnerable at that point respectfully decline or less the truth shall come out and the subsequent backlash. Of course people are ripping Quinn…he criticized someone that worships god. Quinn can play.
Brady Quinn is going to be a starter in this league. It may not be right now, but I have a feeling some team at the right time with the right coaching staff and scheme in place for Quinn he can be a good QB. It matters how Quinn said what he said, and it matters whether they were stand alone comments or part of a broader interview or…wait for it…context! Besides, you posted to quotes today.
I doubt many of that team care either. It does make Quinn look like a little sissy though. The whole billboard comment? Gabbert would never have a thirteen step drop.
No wonder athletes hate the press. As defined by when the reporter writes down and then publishes the foolish remarks you never should have made in the first place. Brady became sorry for telling the truth right after he got a call from his agent who splained to him the consequences of not being a total suck up in this league.
Guess I will have to wait for the next story. The Blaine Gabbert thirteen step drop comment was not funny if you watched him play, he has no Wide Recievers and the RT, LG was horrible in pass blocking. He payed well in his situation in my opionion but I know a lot of people will disagree with me on here. If Quinn were never given a chance, I would sympathize with him. He has blown too many opportunities to be resentful over being passed on the depth chart. Then the broncos.
Why throw out a Blaine G diss? Just to get the commenters rolling I assume. During the lockout, Tebow was at award ceremonies, Quinn was back in Denver with his teammates working out. Tebow was on TV, Quinn was back in Denver working with his teammates.
